London musical, The Lion King is running with packed houses at the magnificent
Lyceum Theatre London! Disney’s popular London show made its debut in the year
2000 and still set the box office register ringing. The spectacular production
by Julie Taymor is a brilliant amalgamation of live action, puppetry and
incredible sets. The show is adapted from the classic animated movie and set
against the backdrop of African Savannah.
The Lion King is
a complete treat for music lovers featuring heart touching musical compositions
from Elton John and Tim Rice. The show features some memorable musical numbers
such as "The Circle of Life", "Can You Feel the Love
Tonight" and "I Just Can't Wait to Be King". The magnificent
show is set in African pride-lands and revolves around Simba, the Lion cub to
King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi.
Theheart warming saga The Lion King runs for two
hours and forty five minutes. The popular show is recommended for 7+ and based
on 1994 classic movie. The opulent London Westend Lyceum Theatre is located in
a famous area of London known as Covent Garden. This is one of the liveliest
and exciting part of the city positioned in the heart of London’s Theatreland.
The venue has
wide range of restaurants and bars located close to Lyceum theatre. The venue
has some of the finest high street shops and other tourist attractions. Some of
the famous tourist spots located close to the theatre are London Transport
Museum, Covent Garden Market and the Royal Opera House. Soho, Leicester Square
and Chinatown are positioned at a walking distance from the theatre.
Lyceum Theatre is located at an easily accessible location and can be commuted via various
modes of commutation such as buses, tubes, taxis and cars. You can visit the
theatre via tubes as the closest Tube stations are Covent Garden on the
Piccadilly line or Charing Cross on the Northern and Bakerloo lines.
You can also
visit the theatre by bus numbers 6, 11, 13, and 15 all head in the direction of
the Strand. You can also hire a taxi or drive your own car, as the nearest car
park is the Savoy Adelphi Garage 5 minutes away from the Lyceum, which costs
£9.50 for 2 hours parking.
