Review of The Lion King Shows London

Planning for an enjoyable evening with your loved ones this weekend! Get set for award winning London show, The Lion King running with packed houses at the magnificent Lyceum Theatre! Walt Disney's The Lion King made its London debut in the year 2000 and still ruling the box office. Julie Taymor's epic production is a brilliant amalgamation of live action, puppetry and incredible sets.
The show is adapted from the classic movie featuring some of the colourful characters against the backdrop of African savannah. Thestory of The Lion King features life sized elephant to the lovable, yet evil hyenas. Elton John and Tim Rice, brilliant musical compositions make the show a heart warming experience as it features some great musical numbers like "The Circle of Life", "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" and "I Just Can't Wait to Be King".

The story of The Lion King is set against the backdrop of African pride-lands and revolves around young cub Simba! Simba is the Lion Cub to King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi. But, Scar, the evil brother of Mufasa is jealous of the newborn Prince and plots to conspires to get rid of him as he wants to be the King of Pride Rock. After the death of King and Queen, Simba run away and never return.

The Lion King also features some great relations with Nala and the lion cub. Simba’s new friends Timon and Pumba, along with Nala convince him to reclaim his kingdom. This heart-warming story is has been enlivened up onstage featuring talented cast and musicians. The aweinspiring London show is a recommended for 7+ kids.

The two hours and forty five minutes show is a complete audio visual treat for theatre lovers. The popular London Westend theatre Lyceum Theatre is located in a famous London area Covent Garden. The venue comprises of wide range of restaurantslocated close to the Lyceum theatre! You can enjoy lip smacking cuisine that caters for every taste. There are huge range of high street shops along with various other tourist attractions such as the London Transport Museum, Covent Garden Market and the Royal Opera House. Soho, Leicester Square and Chinatown are also located at a walking distance from the theatre.
