Catch the award winning London show, Disney's The Lion King at LyceumTheatre London! The must watch show has always been a huge West End favourite and recommended for people of all age groups. If you have enjoyed the popular 1994 film then this will be a complete treat, whereas those who are coming for the first time, this show will surely blow your mind.

In the year 2000, Walt Disney's The Lion King made its debut and has become one of the hottest tickets and most popular shows in town. Julie Taymor's epic production is a brilliant amalgamation of live action, puppetry and incredible sets. The classic movie has been enlivened up onstage featuring cst of colourful characters against the backdrop of atmosphere of the African savannah. You will enjoy the views of life sized elephant to the lovable, yet evil hyenas.

Another key highlights of the show is some of the chartbusting memorable score penned by song writing duo Elton John and Tim Rice. The show features some heart rendering numbers such as "The Circle of Life", "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" and "I Just Can't Wait to Be King".

The story of The Lion King is set against the African pride-lands, and commences with the birth of Simba the Lion Cub to King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi. His birth makes Mufasa's brother Scar jealous and insecure who plots to get rid of him along with his brother to be the King of Pride Rock. The show depicts some beautiful emotional bonding such as Simba develops a relationship with Nala and his new friends Timon and Pumba. All of them convince Simba to return and reclaim his kingdom.

The Lion King is truly a heart-warming story which has been enlivened up in spectacular fashion featuring talented cast and musicians. So come to Lyceum theatre and experience the mesmerizing atmosphere that will transport you to the heart of Africa amidst all the love and struggle of the young Simba to reclaim his Kingdom back. The two hours and forty five minutes show is recommended for 6+ kids.
