Walt Disney's The Lion King

Walt Disney's TheLion King is one of the most loved London Westend show made its debut in the year 1999 at the Lyceum Theatre London! The show is one of the blockbuster London musicals and still running with packed houses. The epic production by Julie Taymor is renowned for its live action, puppetry and unbelievable sets.

The classic show has been inspired from the hugely loved animated classic film. The show features cast of colourful characters set against the atmosphere of the African savannah. Some of the key highlights of the show are life sized elephant, hyenas etc. The Lion King has some of the heart touching mesmerizing musical numbers penned by writing duo Elton John and Tim Rice. Some of the popular musical numbers of the show are "The Circle of Life", "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" and "I Just Can't Wait to Be King".

The Lion King is a set against the backdrop of African pride-lands and commences with the birth of Simba the Lion Cub to King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi. His evil Uncle, Scar is jealous of the newborn Prince and conspires to get rid of him and his family to be the King of Pride Rock. The heart touching show is a complete audio visual treat for theatre lovers. The two hours and forty five minutes heart-warming saga has enlivened up the story in a spectacular fashion.

The popular London Westend Lyceum Theatre is located in the area of London known as Covent Garden. This is one of the most popular and vibrant parts of the city positiomed in the heart of London’s Theatreland. The venue comprises of some of the popular restaurants that cater for every taste. There are wide range of high street shops along with famous tourist attractions such as the London Transport Museum, Covent Garden Market and the Royal Opera House. You can also enjoy trip to Soho, Leicester Square and Chinatown. They are also located at a manageable walking distance of the theatre.


LyceumTheatre is located at an easily accessible location can be commuted via various modes of transportations such as buses, tubes, taxis and cars.
